On the occasion of the World Family Physician Day, which is celebrated annually on May 19, the staff of the Department of Internal and Family Medicine of the Sumy State Medical Institute organized a scientific and practical webinar “Current Issues of Family Medicine”. The purpose of the event was to draw attention to current issues of family medicine today, taking into account martial law.
Associate Professor of the Department S.Bokova reported on current issues of immunoprophylaxis of infectious diseases and the algorithm of actions in case of an adverse event after vaccination. All interns received links to relevant resources.
During the webinar, reports were presented by interns from the specialty “General Practice – Family Medicine” on current issues of today. The speakers presented modern evidence-based information on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of common diseases in the practice of a primary care physician.
In the final part of the event, Professor of the Department O.Melekhovets emphasized the crucial role of the family doctor in providing necessary medical and sanitary assistance to all family members and helping to improve their health.
