As part of the study of the discipline General Practice – Family Medicine, on September 16, 2025, Associate Professor of the Department of Internal and Family Medicine Bokova S. conducted a class in the simulation center of the SSMI Sumy State University for 6th-year students of groups 001 and 002.
In accordance with the lesson plan and clinical case – “Diagnosis of ACS and emergency care in the outpatient clinic of a family doctor”, students practiced the necessary skills.
During the lesson, students conducted the necessary physical and instrumental examination, made a preliminary diagnosis and provided emergency care to the patient. Important communication skills were also practiced between a doctor and a patient, a nurse and a patient, taking into account conflict situations, and the importance of teamwork was emphasized. It was the team spirit and the correct sequence of actions that allowed applicants to successfully overcome all difficulties and obstacles. The participants of the simulation session demonstrated a sufficient level of mastery of practical skills in diagnosing ACS and providing emergency care.
The post-training debriefing revealed the experiences and doubts that the training participants encountered during the task, highlighted the mistakes made and possible ways to avoid them.
