An open practical session dedicated to acute and chronic complications of diabetes mellitus was held in the simulation center of the medical institute. The session was conducted by Professor of the Department of Internal and Family Medicine Melekhovets O., who shared with future doctors clinical experience and modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of complications of this disease.
Students had the opportunity to work with high-tech mannequins and simulation scenarios that are as close as possible to real clinical situations. Special attention was paid to diabetic ketoacidosis, hypoglycemia, diabetic nephropathy and retinopathy.
The event aroused keen interest among students of group 204, who actively participated in the discussion of cases, asked questions and demonstrated a high level of training. Such sessions are an important component of modern medical education aimed at training competent and confident specialists.
