On March 25-28, 2025, in Chernivtsi, at the initiative of the representative office of the International Humanitarian Organization MdM-Greece in Ukraine (Representative Office of the Association “Doctors of the World” – Department in Greece) a training “WHO Mental Health Gap Action Program (mhGAP)” on clinical management of mental disorders for scientific and pedagogical workers of higher medical education institutions was held.
Scientific and pedagogical workers of higher medical education institutions from Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernivtsi were invited to participate in the mhGAP training. Employees of our SEMI also attended the training.
The participants of the training got acquainted with modern methods of diagnosis and management of mental, neurological disorders, as well as disorders associated with the use of psychoactive substances.
The training was an important step in preparing specialists who will be able to work effectively with patients and implement the acquired experience in educational activities. The event also facilitated the exchange of experience between teachers and experts in the field of mental health. This training was another step in the development of the mental health care system aimed at improving the quality of life of patients and their families.
